Lauren (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience providing individual, family, and group therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. She brings a deep well of compassion, empathy, and a strength-based perspective to her work, creating a safe and supportive space where clients feel empowered to grow, heal, and thrive.
Lauren has provided clinical care, supervision, and program oversight across all levels of mental health services. She has extensive experience in school-based mental health, having spent more than 18 years supporting adolescents within educational settings and developing innovative programming to meet their evolving emotional needs.
Her clinical approach integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness practices. She is trained in the Nurtured Heart Approach, and she holds a certificate in Mindfulness with Youth. Lauren is especially passionate about helping individuals manage anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions by fostering resilience, emotional regulation, and meaningful self-awareness. She has worked extensively with both youth and adults to reduce emotional distress and build healthy coping strategies rooted in connection between mind and body.
Lauren’s leadership has extended beyond the therapy room—she has held key roles at the state, county, and local levels, and has been a strong advocate for youth mental health services throughout New Jersey. She was instrumental in expanding and preserving funding for school-based mental health and was honored with the New Jersey Governor's Council on Mental Health Stigma Ambassador Award for her impactful work.
Lauren received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Michigan and her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. Lauren is a New Jersey Certified Clinical Supervisor and a proud member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). Her practice is grounded in collaboration, authenticity, and a belief in every individual’s capacity for change and connection.
